We are seeking a driven Biologist II to join a cutting-edge Biologics Purification Development team in Waltham, MA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting biopharmaceutical process development by designing and optimizing robust purification workflows for innovative recombinant proteins.

responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize protein purification processes utilizing clarification, chromatography, and membrane filtration technologies.
- Design and execute innovative process development, characterization activities, impurity removal, and viral clearance studies.
- Support technology transfer to scale-up laboratories and manufacturing facilities, participating in troubleshooting and investigations.
- Perform meticulous data acquisition, analysis, and documentation in electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
- Collaborate across technical teams and provide technical support for pilot and/or GMP manufacturing of clinical materials.
- Evaluate new technologies and state-of-the-art innovations to enhance purification process efficiency.
qualifications:
Required: - Master's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline with 3+ years of biotech process development experience (or PhD with relevant experience).
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in protein purification using chromatography, clarification, and filtration techniques.
- Experience conducting viral clearance and impurity studies.
- Strong written, oral, and collaborative communication skills.
